7 weekly taiko classes

Fee $85 ($75 for students with ID / MJCCC members)

Ages 16 & up
No experience necessary
Limited enrollment

Hinode Taiko members performed July 15 for the Team Manitoba Kick-Off Event of the Brockville 55+ Games (known as the Senior Olympics). Cindy Klassen was a guest speaker. It was held in Winnipeg at Dakota House. The event was well attended and we were proud to be part of it.

Channels Audio Recording session

Kevin watches Bill Peters in the booth adding “spoons” audio

Here are some photos from a recent recording sesssion at Channels Audio & Post-Production.

Hinode Taiko members Kevin Utsunomiya and Margaret McKenty were part of the soundtrack taping for a video directed by Bill Peters. The video will promote the St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre…the soundtrack also features an extremely talented young fiddler named Emily Chartier.

Bill Peters added a percussion track (spoons) himself. The recording engineer is John Schritt.
