Want Hinode Taiko to play at your event? Great idea! Audiences are thrilled by the energy, grace and power of Hinode’s drumming (see our reviews). But before you call/email, here are some things to think about. The more information you have ready, the faster we can respond to your request.
Please note that all our bookings are subject to performer availability and Board approval, and are often confirmed up to a year in advance. Even with complete information and lots of lead time, we cannot accept all requests. Your understanding is appreciated!
Critical info (we can’t begin to process your request without this)
- Date of event
- Time
- Location
- Contact person: name, phone number, email address
- Event name and description
- Indoors or outdoors? If outdoors, will stage area be covered?
- Size of stage or playing area: [NOTE: We strongly advise a minimum of 30’/9 m wide by 24’/7.5 m deep]
- Length of performance requested
- Available fee / honorarium
Other helpful info (to assist in processing your request)
- Anticipated audience size
- Anticipated media coverage
- Is Hinode part of a show with other performers, or the sole performer? What is the running order?
- Is Hinode background info (performer bio, photos) needed for the event program or publicity? If so, when and to whom?
- Is Hinode intro for event MC needed? If so, when and to whom?
- Will there be opportunities for HT to sell merchandise, distribute pamphlets, put up banners?
Technical details (must be confirmed at least 1 week before event)
- What type of sound and lighting equipment is available?
- What rehearsals are scheduled?
- Lighting and sound check times
- Details of access to loading area for event location
- Drum load-in and load-out times
- Parking for equipment truck and performers’ vehicles during performance
- Arrangements for venue access and parking passes for the event
